Pool Heat Pumps in Higgovale

Pool heat pumps in Higgovale are sized on shade, wind and cover rather than surface area, and Architect-designed contemporary homes, glass-heavy elevations usually means a pool tucked into a small, partly shaded plot. Near Kloof Nek Road, the mountain shadow that arrives mid-afternoon is the single biggest factor in how many months of swimming you actually get out of the season. We service Higgovale pools on the same route as Tamboerskloof, which makes winter set-point checks and pre-summer servicing straightforward to schedule.

Higgovale is where the Bowl's most demanding installations live. Contemporary homes here run vast glazed elevations, split-level living volumes and rooftop plant decks — magnificent to look at, brutal to cool. Sightlines are protected fiercely, so condensers and heat pumps have to disappear into screened plant areas or roof wells while still getting the airflow they need. We plan these jobs with the architect and the landscaper, not around them.

City Bowl pools are small, often shaded by the mountain for part of the day, and frequently exposed to the south-easter — three factors that decide pool heat pump sizing far more than surface area alone. We measure volume, exposure, cover type and plant-room flow before specifying.
